Caroline Lehmann

Professor of Plant Ecology and Biogeography

About Caroline

Caroline is jointly appointed by Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and University of Edinburgh to research the ecology and evolution of tropical ecosystems, specifically grasslands and savannas. She examines how and why vegetation structure and dynamics change across ecological settings in the tropics and the ecosystem-level and biome-level consequences of these changes. Caroline uses a variety of approaches, including linking remotely sensed data, experimental data, meta-analyses and field observations.
