Lorna is broadly interested in the ecosystems ecology, and how ecological processes respond to environmental change. Lorna's research focus is on high latitude regions, specifically carbon and nutrient cycling in Arctic plants and soils. She uses a combination of experimental work and models, often employing stable or radioisotopes to understand carbon and nutrient dynamics, both in the field and in the lab.
