Launch of Edinburgh Forests and Landscapes Network(ing)

Centre launches monthly events in collaboration with the University's Forest and Peatland Programme

We are excited to launch monthly outreach and networking events in collaboration with the University’s Forest and Peatland Programme (FPP).

The Edinburgh Forests and Landscapes Network aims to bring together academics, researchers and postgraduate student with policy, business and third sector professionals with an interest in sustainable forests and landscapes based in and around Edinburgh. We hope to develop an informal meeting place, providing opportunities for sharing insights, experiences and perspectives that will benefit a diverse audience.

Monthly 2-hour in person events in the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute, will start with 45-60min of plenary session followed by informal networking with refreshments. The plenary session will take different formats involving both CSFL and FPP colleagues and external stakeholders.

The first EFLN event will kick-off on Monday 2 October 16.00. Subsequent events will be held each first Wednesday of the month (with the exception of January) until July.

On Monday 2 October, Edinburgh’s Forest and Peatland Programme will be introduced, followed by short presentations from Dr Lorna Street and PhD student Naomi Housego about their research to understand soil carbon under forests and their planned research with the Forest and Peatland Programme
